Mr.Pizza, a local brand that beat global No. 1
MPK Group’s Mr.Pizza is the top pizza brand in Korea that
beat global big-name players. One of the key reasons behind
the brand’s success is women-targeted marketing. Under the
slogan of ‘Ladies First’, Mr.Pizza has focused on marketing
campaigns targeting female customers. For example, every
Monday is ‘Women’s Day’ where female guests can get
20% off Premium Pizzas. This 10-year-old campaign has
a major promotional event ever since it began in 2004.
After reaching the top position in the Korean pizza business
Mr.Pizza set out to launch 50 restaurants in China and
3 in the U.S. So far, these overseas locations have received
positive response from local customers. China’s largest
restaurant review site Dazhong Dianping included it as
one of the ’50 Restaurants Beloved by Chinese Diners’ for 5 consecutive
years from 2009, while U.S. restaurant guide Zagat named Mr.Pizza’s
Wilshire location the ‘Best Pizza Store’ for 4 years from 2009.
Currently, Mr.Pizza has 450 outlets inside Korea and it endeavors to become
a global pizza brand by delivering customer satisfaction and quality services.
